Pasco Court Docket Search

Start your Pasco court docket search by figuring out which court holds the case. Pasco Municipal Court handles city misdemeanors, traffic and nontraffic tickets, parking, and photo enforcement. Anything bigger, such as felonies, family matters, probate, juvenile cases, or large civil filings, runs through a Franklin County court instead. Several courts share the North Fourth Avenue campus. That makes it easy to land in the wrong place. Before you trust a hearing date or ask for copies, match the docket entry to its named court and case number. A quick check saves a trip and keeps your case lookup on track.

Three Pasco Courts, One Campus

North Fourth Avenue is a shared court location, not a single records office. Pasco Municipal Court occupies Building D. Franklin District Court uses Building B218, the Franklin County Clerk is in Suite B306 for Superior Court records, and Juvenile Court is in Suite B214. A street address alone therefore cannot identify the custodian. Carry the court name, case number, and building or suite from the most recent notice.

This distinction prevents a common Pasco records error: asking the Municipal Court clerk for a Superior felony file or asking the County Clerk for a city parking matter. The Washington court directory is the practical tie-breaker when an old document and a current web listing disagree.

Pasco Court Records at Building D

Pasco Municipal Court is at 1016 N 4th Avenue, Building D, Pasco, WA 99301, and lists 509-545-3491. The building designation matters because Franklin District Court, Superior Court, the County Clerk, and Juvenile Court use other buildings or suites on the same campus. Use the location printed on the latest notice rather than treating the street address as one counter.

The city identifies Judge Carlos D. Villarreal and administrator Elizabeth Porras. Temporary counter hours during the Tyler Enterprise Justice transition vary by weekday and hearing schedule. Check the official page immediately before traveling.

Inside the Pasco Municipal Court

Pasco Municipal Court hears misdemeanor criminal cases charged under city authority, traffic and nontraffic infractions, parking matters, and photo-enforcement cases. The city routes felonies, name changes, small claims, anti-harassment matters, larger civil disputes, and specified family-protection matters to other courts. The city page uses a $75,000 civil-referral figure, but venue depends on current law and the claim; confirm it rather than treating that number as universal.

The official municipal page, statewide limited-jurisdiction search, and the hearing notice serve different purposes. The state search supplies index and event information; the city page supplies current procedures and office status; the clerk supplies official copies and confirms a setting. A payment screen is not a docket portal.

Tyler Enterprise Justice Transition

Pasco is moving Municipal Court work to Tyler Enterprise Justice. The city posted 2026 closure notices for backlog-data entry and references proposed PMCLR 1.9 governing electronic filing and service. During migration, an in-person file, statewide index, payment page, and new case platform may not refresh together. Treat a missing or delayed entry as a reason to call the clerk, not proof that the case disappeared.

Temporary counter and phone coverage is posted as weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Monday and Tuesday from 1:30 to 4 p.m.; Thursday afternoon only when in-person hearings are set; and no Wednesday or Friday afternoon coverage. Verify the current Municipal Court notice before visiting because transition hours can change.

Finding Pasco Court Dates

Use Search Case Records and the state Find My Court Date route for a Municipal or District setting. Read the date together with the court name, event type, and status. A reset may appear as a later event rather than replacing the earlier entry, and proceedings can be rescheduled after an online calendar is published. Municipal Record Copies and Fees

The Pasco Municipal Court request form covers record checks, certified copies, document copies, and audio. It asks for valid picture identification plus the subject's name, aliases, birth date, charges, relevant dates, and case numbers. Delivery choices include pickup, mail, fax, or email. Police reports are expressly outside this court request.

The published form lists an $11 noncertified record check, $16 for the first certified page, a $1 additional certified stamp or seal, $21 for an audio CD with a $10 duplication charge, and $6 for an additional certified copy. These are service-specific figures and can change; use the live form and confirm the total before paying. Online fine payment neither orders a copy nor proves a docket is complete.

Pasco Traffic Ticket Lookups

For a ticket naming Pasco Municipal Court, search the limited-jurisdiction system with the citation or case number and select the correct category. Traffic infraction, criminal traffic, nontraffic infraction, parking, and photo enforcement are not interchangeable. Match the violation date and party before acting on a same-name result.

Pasco separates pay, mitigation, contested-hearing, deferral, and time-pay paths for traffic infractions; nontraffic options differ. Failure to respond or appear can lead to a committed finding, collections, and, for traffic matters, a $52 penalty and possible license suspension. The deadline printed on the ticket controls. See Franklin County traffic court records for the broader limited-jurisdiction process.

Parking and Photo-Enforcement Records

Pasco treats parking citations as noncriminal municipal infractions and provides payment, mitigation, contest, and time-pay routes. Photo-enforcement matters also belong on the municipal side. Search and respond using the notice identifier; do not assume the vehicle owner's name alone will isolate the correct item. The city's parking and photo-enforcement page supplies the current response channel.

How Pasco Cases Reach the County

City misdemeanors and infractions remain in Municipal Court, while county limited-jurisdiction matters go to Franklin District Court. Felonies, family and domestic matters, probate, juvenile matters, larger civil litigation, and lower-court appeals reach Benton-Franklin Counties Superior Court in Franklin County venue. Jurisdiction, not where the person lives, determines the docket.

Search each level separately. Use the state CLJ form for Municipal and District cases, Odyssey or the Superior state form for Superior matters, and the appropriate records custodian for copies. The Franklin County court docket overview explains those county routes without collapsing them into one database.

Criminal Misdemeanors in Pasco

A Pasco misdemeanor docket can show a charge, arraignment, pretrial event, motion, trial setting, disposition, and later compliance activity. It does not itself reproduce every police narrative or filing. Confirm identity with the case number and court, and request permitted documents from Municipal Court. A felony arising inside Pasco is not a municipal case and should be searched through Superior Court.

Who Can See Pasco Court Records

Washington General Rule 31 covers court indexes, calendars, dockets, registers of actions, orders, and judgments, subject to privacy protections. A public event label may coexist with a restricted or redacted filing. Sealed matters, confidential identifiers, juvenile records, and protected family information are not made unrestricted merely because a case name appears in an index.

Key Rules:

Washington General Rule 31 - Court records are presumptively accessible, subject to exemptions, redaction, and access limits.

Washington General Rule 15 - Courts may seal or redact material when the rule's standards are met.

RCW 13.50.260 - Juvenile sealing follows specific eligibility, timing, and access rules.

City Records Are Not Court Records

A request to Pasco city administration is not a substitute for a Municipal Court request, just as the county GovQA channel is not the normal route for Superior or District files. Send court records to the court that holds the case, police reports to the law-enforcement custodian, and ordinary administrative records to the responsible city or county office. Correct routing protects both turnaround and privacy.

Confirming a Pasco Docket Entry

A verification pass compares the caption, court level, case number, filing year, charge or claim, and newest event. Washington limited-jurisdiction categories separate criminal nontraffic, criminal traffic, traffic infraction, nontraffic infraction, civil, and small claim. A wrong category can create an empty result. Superior searches instead divide civil, criminal, domestic, and probate or guardianship matters. If a person appears at more than one level, label each result by court rather than combining histories.

For documents, identify what proof is needed. A noncertified copy may support personal research; a certified copy carries authentication for formal use. Audio, judgments, complaints, citations, and dockets are separate products. Give the clerk the document title or event date. During Pasco's transition, record when each portal was checked and confirm recent filings directly. Neither a missing electronic document nor an old calendar establishes current status.

Daily county docket PDFs and municipal search results can refresh on different schedules. Review every later event for a continuance or disposition. A scheduled label is not a guarantee that a hearing will proceed unchanged. The newest court notice and clerk confirmation control appearance details.

Pasco Official Source Checklist

Before closing a search, compare the statewide result with the official Pasco Municipal Court page and the records request form. Verify that the issuing agency, city jurisdiction, violation or charge, and case type all align. For a county matter, repeat that check against District Court or Superior Court rather than transferring municipal assumptions. Save the clerk contact used, the date checked, and the specific document requested. This creates a reproducible path if a setting moves or technology migration delays an entry.

Use official links for changing hours, fees, payments, and electronic filing. The court page controls current operations, while the filed order or hearing notice controls the individual case. Avoid relying on cached search snippets or third-party summaries for deadlines. If identity is uncertain, stop at the index and ask the clerk rather than publishing a possible match.
